Faye Labanaris, Dover, New Hampshire

Faye is known for her beautiful award winning appliqué work and dimensional ribbon flowers. She has taught throughout the United States and Great Britain. Her specialty is hand needle turn appliqué and appliqué designs with dimensional ribbon blossoms. She is the author of five books, Blossoms by the Sea - Making Ribbon Flowers for, Quilts With A View, Garden View Applique - Vintage Album Patterns, Applique Rose Garden - Vintage Album Patterns, and Ribbon Treasures from Celia’s Garden, published by the American Quilter’s Society, Paducah, Kentucky.

Faye was voted National Honored Teacher by students in C&T Publishing’s First Baltimore Album Revival contest. Her quilt, A Tribute to Celia Thaxter (1835 - 1894), placed first in that contest and was a runner up in the 20th Century’s 100 Best Quilts sponsored by the International Quilt Association. Faye has twice been a first place State winner in the Great American Quilt Festival sponsored by the Museum of American Folk Art in New York City. Ellen Peters, Laconia, New Hampshire

Ellen has been teaching quilting for 20 years. She was on the board of directors for Vermont Quilt Festival and one of the founding members of the Belknap Mill Quilting Guild. Ellen helped to start classes at Images Quilt Show for New England Quilt Guild.

Her machine quilting and piecing has be en featured in over a dozen quilt books by Carol Doak, Elly Sienkiewicz, and Faye Labanaris.

She teach quilting classes around the New England area, along with teaching classes at her quilt studio. She also teach third grade at Gilford Elementary School.
